Ok the mix is finally done. It took surprisingly long. Obtaining and checking many soundtracks (around 25-30, trying to steer clear of the usual sympho-pompous stuff ), selecting the tunes, trying different combinations and order of the tracks. Few takes on mixing… Here they are – 29 or 30 compositions and audio fragments from the various sci-fi movies mixed realtime in Traktor DJ studio (though most of the ending part was re-edited in Audacity).
Things change pretty fast, partly because of my short attention span 🙂 but mostly because the movie music is presented in very short tracks, some being only 20-30 seconds long. Also there are several samples from the movies added for the atmosphere and some ‘story’ 🙂 The mix gets really creepy but hold on, there is a happy ending.

I hope you enjoy the ride and maybe even discover something new in the realm of music.
